Who we are and what we do

Donor conceived individuals have been striving to improve donor conception practices in Aotearoa New Zealand for over twenty years. Donor Conceived Aotearoa was formed in 2021 as an advocacy group by and for donor conceived New Zealanders to further these efforts.

We are the foremost resource for educating the government, medical and health professions, media and general public in Aotearoa New Zealand about the needs and experiences of donor conceived people (DCP).

Our focus is to ensure the needs and experiences of DCP are heard and considered in all aspects of donor conception. Our goal is for Aotearoa New Zealand to be a world leader in ethical donor conception practices.
